Let’s Keep An Eye on Congress
It’s not crazy Presidents or Presidents with dementia that are the worse problems. At most we only have to put up with them for 8 years.
It is also not the courts all they can do is interpret the laws. Sometimes idiotically as in Dredd Scott or Roe v. Wade. The court’s decisions can always be reviewed by later courts or with slick lawyering.
Congress is the best way to keep our government in check and boy do they need to be checked. Unlike Presidents congressional representatives can be in their positions for almost a century. Their staff folks are like a permanent ruling class and the way districts are gerrymandered it is almost like feudal fiefdoms.
